Checking with our chairpersons to see what we need would be your first step. We may be in need of supplies, and of course we always welcome cash. What is needed more than anything is willing volunteers, especially foster homes. If you have room in your heart and home to care for a rescued Vizsla, you would be of great value to us.
Several weeks to several months is usually what it takes to evaluate and find a home for a rescue. During this time the dog's temperament is evaluated to see into which potential home we feel it will best fit.
We'd be delighted to talk with you about the satisfaction of helping us place a deserving dog into a loving home. You will be coached in some dog training techniques and temperament observation.
If this is something you think you might be interested in doing, please don't hesitate.
